HD Brows with Face Facts
Hello my dears!!
I am carrying on my reviews of my beauty treats :)
On Saturday the 11/2/12 I had a very important date, a date with amazing brows!
I have been hearing good things about HD Brows for a while now.
I have for a long time plucked my eyebrows into skinny submission for which no amount of eyebrow pencil seemed to improve so the thought of thicker eyebrows appealed to me.
Hence I decided to give these brows a go!
After checking the HD Brows website for a salon in my area that I could get this done at I settled on Face Facts I liked the website and when I called to have a quick chat about the treatment the girl I spoke to couldn't have been more helpful in explaining what I needed to do prior to my brows being HD'd which basically consisted of not plucking them and making sure I put the patch test on before I came in for the treatment.
So five long weeks later my now scruffy and overgrown eyebrows and I went to Face Facts to have ourselves "blinged out" as my HD Brow technician Gemma called it!
The salon is right at the foot of Lincolns famous Steep Hill....
I love how tucked out of the way it was, it made it seem very like one of those salons that you have to be "in the know" about to go to without having a snobbish feel to it. Anyway on to the treatment....
HD Brows consists of a seven step process involves among other things Tinting, Waxing, Plucking, Threading and Trimming.
My messy brows prior to treatment...
The tint once it has been applied
How it looks after the tint
After waxing, plucking and threading
The finished result after trimming, soothing, mineral make up application and the use of the HD Brow palette in Vamp to fill in the gaps.
I completely love my new brows I feel like they frame my face and make my eyes much more striking!
I even invested in my own HD Brow palette in vamp to keep up the look at home.
Gemma my technician has been doing this for three years now I had a quick chat with her after she had finished with me to talk about the preconceptions people have about HD Brows.
She says one of the most asked questions she has is "will it look like a scouse brow?" in fact she says she actually has people bringing in pictures just to show her what they don't want them to look like!
So to clear things up once and for all HD Brows are assessed on you own brow needs for your face shape and hair colour they are there to enhance and not overpower.
Most of all they are meant to make you feel well presented and confident in yourself.
My treatment cost £30 and should last for about four weeks I am more than happy to pay this price as I feel the end results are well worth it.
I found Gemma friendly and enthusiastic about her job which made treatment fly by and really put me at ease, but don't just take my word for it pop in to Face Facts and see what they have to offer I think you will be pleasantly surprised.
Have you already had HD Brows? What did you think? Please leave a comment I would love to hear your thoughts!
Much Love

Hoping to look Just Gorgeous
On Thursday 8/2/12 I booked in to see my amazing nail technician Sammi.
Sammi is the owner of Just Gorgeous here is a little bit about her in her own words....
You can see some examples of her work on the Just Gorgeous Facebook Page.
I love going to the salon they always make you feel welcome and it has a friendly, but professional feel to it :)
As I was going to a club night called Moda Wild in the City and there was a prize for wearing the most animal like outfit.
I asked for my nails to be done in leopard print to match my dress and shoes!
After infilling my nails (I wear acrylic ones) she applied a metallic brown for the base coat..
She then painted on the outlines of the leopard prints with a black nail art polish (I was very impressed with her steady hand!)
She then proceeded to fill in the outlines with a gold polish and topped it off with a clear top coat and voila the fabulous finished product!
My next treat was a full set of eyelash extensions which was a first for me. I have had flicks before, but not a full set.
I love them although you have to be pretty patient and able to control your blinking reflex (this is something I am not and can't seem to do very well lol!)
These are my lashes before....
and now looking lashtastic!
The results are well worth the patience though and I fully intend to follow up with the infills for them in two weeks.
I really can't recommend Just Gorgeous enough the treatments are top class and the staff are great (Jemma even went to the shop in the middle of a snowstorm to get me a sandwich as I was starving!)
So go have a nosey at the website and facebook page make your own mind up and get an appointment booked sharpish!
Much Love

Long Time No Speak!
Hi all sorry for the long time in between posts, but I have been a busy little bee!
I have been spoiling myself just a little bit and had four treatments done before a night out at the weekend so I will be doing a review for all of them.
I will also be doing a review and step by step guide for an awesome new peel off, stick on, fill in and go make up/ body art product that I got to use for the previously mentioned night this is such an exciting product and I am very proud to say that I am one of the first people to be reviewing it in the UK!
I shall say good-bye for now, but please watch this space!
Much Love

Combined Boxing Day and January Sales Haul
Hello there my dears being as it is now the beginning of February I thought I would do a combined sales/shopping post covering the past month.
Looking at it I now feel like I have gone a bit crazy (and bought a lot of dresses!) but at the time it all seemed such a good bargain :)
Sorry in advance for the picture quality the light is awful in my room and I am in dire need of a DSLR camera!
First up are few bits I got in the Dorothy Perkins sale....
Top left.. A lovely little Fit and Flare dress £5.00 (Such a bargain!)
Top Right.. Black v-neck scuba dress £12.00
Bottom .. Black sparkle dip hem top £7.00
Black mega heel shoe boots £28.00
The silver cowl back dress is from the River Island and was £20.00 in the sale
The leopard print dress was from Dorothy Perkins and full price but was a really reasonable £23.00
We have a lovely boutique near where I live called Spinning Wheel where I got the two dresses below.
You should check out the website for their sale range they have some lovely bits.
Black Lace dress is by Lispy and was £30.00 in the sale
Red and Black body con dress by Rare was £25.00
After buying everyones Christmas pressies this year I found I had managed to accrue a fair few Boots advantage card points so off I trotted to spend them all bwahaha!
With my points I got the Babyliss Root Booster (a review will follow once I have actually got round to using it!).
Benefits They're Real mascara and Max Factors False Lash effect these are both re buys as I love them and think they both work really well together.
The leopard print feather earrings were again from the Dorothy Perkins sale and were £1.00
Finally I decided to try out the No7 Airbrush Primer I used one of the £5.00 off No7 vouchers and I also had 2x£5.00 Boots vouchers (collected from the Daily Mail unique number Rewards scheme) so actually only ended up paying £4.50 for it.
I've not had a chance to test it out yet but will post a review once I have.
So there we go my bargain shopping, its a bit scary seeing it all grouped together but I have no regrets!
Did you pick up any great deals in the past month? is there anything here that stands out to you?
Please leave a comment :)

NOTW
Hi I thought I would show you what my nails are looking like at the moment. Now I have to say I usually get my nails done by the lovely Sammi at Just Gorgeous so most of the time I can take no credit for what they look like ( I will do a post every two weeks when I get them done to let you see the magic this lady can do!)
But on this occasion I have a 3 week gap as i have an event next weekend i wanted my nails fresh for ( more on that next week).
So to cut a long story short I re did them myself on Friday night and considering my inability to do my nails I am pretty proud of them.
To get this look I cleaned off my old polish and applied....
1 Coat of No7 Base Coat
2 Coats of Barry M Nail Paint in No 308 Berry
No7 Stay perfect in Hot to Trot
(I swept this just over the ends to give me some glam gold tips)
My top coat is a clear
17 Lasting Fix
Well there you go my version of a french manicure with a twist.
Do you have any easy nail looks that you like to do? Please leave a comment any tips are welcome! :)
